PRE-FLUX

Pre-Flux is primarily used to enable the mild steel pipes to metallurgically react with molten zinc of the bath. Without pre-fluxing of steel pipes, galvanising operation cannot be carried out. Hence Pre-Fluxing is of significant importance in the process of galvanising.

Some galvanising units use the mixture of zinc chloride and ammonium chloride, which not only results into the low productivity but also the low quality of galvanised products due to many reasons.

Pre-Flux is a complex compound of salts blended with additives and catalysts. It reduces the iron contents of pre-flux tank and hence reduces dross formation. Its consumption per tonne of steel pipes is comparatively less and it adheres uniformly with pipes to result in giving uniform zinc coating. All these factor results into low cost of galvanising and better quality of galvanised products.

APPLICATIONS
