PASSIVATOR

After hot dip galvanising, galvanised products generally tend to be white rusted in humid weather and humid storage conditions. This white rust (which is a conversion coating of zinc oxide) reduces the luster of galvanised sheets, pits galvanised surfaces and hence reduces the life of galvanised sheets considerably. Hence the use of good passivating chemical is of utmost importance for sheet galvanising.

Passivator developed by us is a novel liquid passivating chemical. It is a chromic acid based hexavalent / trivalent chemical which when sprayed on galvanised sheets forms a conversion coating which is resistant to wet weather and humid storage conditions and generally eliminates the chances of white rust formation. The galvanised sheets may also be quenched in the tank containing the solution of passivator.

We have been given a feedback by our customers that the white rust formation has been eliminated / considerably reduced by the use of this chemical. The galvanising luster after the use of this chemical remains intact and rather increases.
